PURPOSE: To uniformly form gaps between a distribution plate and heat conducting pipes by drilling scalloped holes for inserting the heat conducting pipes in the distribution plate and expanding the inserted heat conducting pipes to the smallest diameter.
CONSTITUTION: Holes 6 having an inner diameter (d), which is larger than the outer diameter of heat conducting pipes 2 are drilled in a distribution plate 5, and notches 7 are symmetrically formed around the holes 6. After a heat conducting pipe 2 is inserted into respective holes 6, the heat conducting pipe 2 is expanded until its outer diameter becomes the inner diameter (d). In this manner, gaps by means of the notches 7 are formed between the distribution plate 5 and heat conducting pipes 2, and they are arranged uniformly. By this constitution, the flow of liquid refrigerant around the heat conducting pipes becomes uniform, improving the heat conducting performance.
