PURPOSE: To facilitate fitting a boot by connecting a closed-loop seal member softer than the boot body to the inner peripheral surfaces of fitting portions on both end sides of a cylindrical boot body to be integral therewith.

CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical boot body made of rubber or synthetic resin having a required hardness is like bellows, and closed-loop fitting portions 3, 4 are provided on both sides of the body. Sealing members 10, 11 are connected to the inner peripheral surfaces of the fitting portions 3, 4 to be integral therewith by suitable means such as adhesives or the like. The sealing members 10, 11 are formed in a closed-loop by rubber or synthetic resin softer than that of the boot body, and are made smaller than the outside diameters L3, L4 of boot install portions 6, 8. At the time of externally fitting on the install portions 6, 8, the sealing members 10, 11 are in order compressed and fitted to the outer surfaces of the install portions. The fitting portions 3, 4 are clamped from the outside and connected to the install portions 6, 8. Accordingly, at the time of fitting, the sealing members 10, 11 are kept from slipping off so as to facilitate fitting.
