Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide manufacture of an electrode for a battery which has improved safety.
SOLUTION: Manufacture of an electrode for a battery has a first process for manufacturing an electrode with an active material and a second process for allowing the electrode to hold polymer and the second process is performed in gas atmosphere which include liquid which is insoluble to the polymer as gas or liquid. Amount of free electrolyte in pores of active material layer can be reduced as a large amount of polymer is filled in the active material layer efficiently deep and evenly while efficiently keeping electron conductivity between active material particles of the electrode. Accordingly, starting of heating chain reaction is restrained in the active material layer in which the heating chain reaction is mostly easy to start when safety of the battery such as pricking in a lithium battery is tested.
