Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enhance an aluminum electrolytic capacitor more in electrostatic capacity by a method wherein an etched aluminum foil is boiled in pure water of high temperature and then anodized in boric acid water solution which contains at least unsaturated dicarboxylic acid or its salt.
CONSTITUTION: An etched aluminum foil is dipped into pure water of high temperature for a prescribed time for a boiling treatment and then subjected to a main chemical conversion treatment (anodization) and furthermore a second chemical conversion treatment. The etched aluminum foil is anodized at least once in boric acid water solution which contains at least unsaturated dicarboxylic acid or its salt in both a main chemical conversion treatment and a second chemical conversion treatment. By this setup, an electrode foil high in electrostatic capacity can be manufactured.
