Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrode for zinc-bromine battery in which the unevenness of an active laminate layer in a carbon plastic electrode using laminated active carbon fiber as an active layer can be prevented, and the molding property of the electrode itself can be enhanced.

CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method comprises the steps of extruding a carbon plastic electrode plate 30 in high temperature state from an extruding machine followed by molding; simultaneously delivering an active carbon fiber cloth 21 having a resin net temporarily fixed on the surface from a separately provided active carbon fiber roll 1; superposing the cloth 21 on the carbon plastic electrode plate 30; and integrally thermocompression-bonding them by polishing rolls 9, 10, 11 of plural stages. The resin net to be temporarily fixed to the surface of the active carbon fiber is formed by braiding by use of a synthetic material having a polyethylene coat material adhered to the circumference of a polypropylene core material.
