Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the leakage of electrolyte by inserting a lead terminal into a hole of a sealing body and fixing the lead terminal to the capacitor body, perfectly curing an adhesive for hermetically sealing the lead terminal and the sealing body through heat treatment, and then impregnating the capacitor body with the electrolyte.
CONSTITUTION: A capacitor body 7 is manufactured and an adhesive 13 is applied to lead terminals 1 leading out from the body 7, and also filled in holes made through a rubber sealing body 8. The lead terminals 1 are then inserted into the sealing body 8 and the adhesive 13 is cured through heat treatment. The capacitor body 7 fixed with the sealing body 8 is then set in a vacuum impregnation system and the interior of the capacitor body 7 is evacuated before an electrolyte is injected. Subsequently, an aluminum case 9 is applied and a tightening part 10 is formed at the abutting part of the sealing body 8 and the case 9 thus sealing the case 9 hermetically. This structure prevents the leakage of electrolyte from an electrolytic capacitor thus enhancing the service life and reliability.
