Title:
MANUFACTURE OF EXPANDED LATTICE FOR LEAD ACID BATTERY ELECTRODE AND RECIPROCATING EXPANDER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0765837
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a manufacture method which allows easy machining and smooth assembly of electrode groups by providing a pressing slant plane adjacent to a cutting edge of on a die located on the most outside of a die group line.

CONSTITUTION: Edge frames are formed on both edges of a belt sheet by using the cutting edge 1a of a first die 1 located on the most outside of a lateral die group line 2. At the same time, the edge frames laterally formed is pressed from the slantly upper side and tilted outside at the pressing slant plane 1c provided on the first die 1. Then, the second and following die group lines and corresponding cutter group lines are repeatedly engaged together to expand and form meshed lattices in sequence from the outside to the center. A belt-like expanded metal latlice for a lead acid battery electrode manufactured in this way can be pressed immediately to have a preset thickness and allow smooth and good assembly of electrode groups.
