Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To settle the fear of a preform being damaged by a base cloth and further make the releasing of molds unnecessary until the completion of a bellows main body by a method wherein a green rubber bellows preform is formed so as to cover the base cloth after the base cloth is wound round the core of the molds.
SOLUTION: A base cloth 10 is wound so as to cover the outer peripheral part 22a of the core 22 of a mold 21, opposing surface parts 22A and 22B and bead parts 22b positioned above and below the outer peripheral part. Next, the mold 21 is assembled and, after a green rubber bellows preform is molded around the base cloth, the bellows preform, in which the base cloth 10 is provided, is vulcanized. Thus, the installation of the base cloth 10 becomes easy and its working efficiency can be improved. Further, the variation of a mold temperature is prevented from developing, resulting in allowing to stabilize the quality of a final product.
