PURPOSE: To provide the above manufacturing method, in which unevenness of surface roughness on both surface of a strip is reduced and an Fe basis soft magnetic alloy strip having high saturation magnetic flux density together with high magnetic permeability, high mechanical strength and high thermal stability can be provided.
CONSTITUTION: By inclining a nozzle toward back side of rotating direction of a cooling roll, pouring basin formed between the cooling roll and the nozzle can be made large, and as the strip is drawn out from this large pouring basin, the strip can be stably drawn out from the pouring basin having a little volumetric variation. As the result, this method has effect that the surface roughness on both side surfaces of the manufactured strip can be made sufficiently fine and uniform. Further, as the used molten metal has the specific composition of Fe series soft magnetic alloy, the obtd. strip has the high saturation magnetic flux density, excellent magnetic permeability and also high hardness, and therefore, the Fe basis soft magnetic alloy strip being suitable to use for magnetic head, etc., is obtd.
