Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prepare the captioned pipe which has no aperture between fibers on its outer surface but has smooth surface and excellent static and fatigue strength by employing a group of specified rate of untwisted continuous carbon fiber filaments together with liquefied thermosetting resin.
CONSTITUTION: A group of continuous carbon fiber filaments containing 30% or more volume of a group of continuous carbon fiber filaments without any twist is impregnated with liquefied thermosetting resin such as epoxy resin or polyester resin, and then, being wound round a mandrel, is heated and hardened.
