PURPOSE: To obtain a rigid FRP shaft by winding fibre via a pin for folding back, and screwing a bolt into a screw hole via a retaining plate after removing the pin.

CONSTITUTION: A plural number of projected parts 4a are equally distanced in peripheral direction on the outer peripheral face of a metal flange 4. A screw hole 4b is drilled in the projected part 4a to mount a pin for folding back 2, and fibre is wound via the pin 2. After the pin 2 is removed, a bolt 5 is screwed in the screw hole 4b via a retaining plate 6 to fix fibre layer. Thus, it is possible to combine a fibre reinforced plastic 3 and a metal pipe 4 rigidly and manufacture a fibre reinforced plastic shaft with metal flange which has reliable strength.
