Abstract:

To stably manufacture a fine metallic wire by setting the direction of the axis of an ejection nozzle body part and the direction of the molten metal jet to the respectively specified angles to reduce the rate of breakage generation of the fine metallic wire when the fine metallic wire is manufactured.

The direction of the axis A of a body part 11 of a bent nozzle type crucible 10 and the molten metal jet discharge direction B are respectively set to the specified angles. An orifice 12 of a bent nozzle is installed at the position in a lower half of a horizontal axial rotary water tank and in the 1/4 range on the downstream side, the molten jet is ejected onto the liquid surface in a rotary cooling water tank in the horizontal direction from the orifice installation position, and the molten metal jet is incident on the liquid surface in the rotary cooling water tank. As a result, the angle of incidence can be reduced, the change in the velocity vector of the molten metal jet is reduced before and after incidence on the cooling water, the force to be applied to the molten metal jet in the ejection-solidification process can be reduced, and the solidification process of the molten metal becomes stable.
