Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a decoration having a pattern as a conspicuous presence by engraving a pattern on an outward surface, cutting the surface into a polyhedron, and bringing the pattern into relief therein.
SOLUTION: A character 5 or pattern is engraved on the surface of a rectangular plate in a fixed depth or more to form a groove by the character 5 or pattern. The rectangular plate is curved so that the character 5 or pattern is situated on an outward surface 2, and both the end parts thereof are mutually brazed to form a ring body as a ring 1. The character 5 or pattern is arranged within a cut polyhedral surface 3 cut into a polyhedron with a diamond bite. Since this cut surface 3 is mirror finished, the brightness can be changed according to the angle to see as a mirror ball so that the character 5 or pattern can be brought into relief on the outer surface of the ring 1, and the presence of the character or pattern can be made conspicuous to provide a large decorative effect. Since the polyhedral cut surface is formed after the character 5 or pattern is engraved, the fear of damaging the mirror finished surface can be eliminated.
