PURPOSE: To obtain the title formed product of improved processability and high- temperature aging resistance by blending an ethylene-propylene copolymer in a polyolefinic resin and then carrying out crosslinking by a silave.
CONSTITUTION: A silane of formula (R is an olefinc unsaturated hydrocarbon group, etc,; Y is a hydrolyzable group, R1 is R or Y) is grafted in the presence of a radical generator having a half-life ≤6min at 140°C to a flame-retardant polyolefinic resin composition comprising (1) 20W80wt% of a low-or high-density polyethylene with a melt index ≥0.5g/10min. (2) 5W50wt% of an ethylene-propylene copolymer with a density of 0.86W0.87, a propylene content of 23W50%, and a Mooney viscosity ≤80, (3) 0W40wt% of a chlorinated polyethylene with a density of 1.10W1.17, a chlorine content of 10W70%, and a molecular weight ≤2×104, and (4) 5W 40wt% of a flame-retardant (e.g., decabromo-phenoxybenzene, Sb2O3). The resulting graft composition is then subjected, in the presence of a silanal condensation catalyst, to forming followed by carrying out a wet treatment to effect crosslinking, thus giving the objective formed product.
