PURPOSE: To provide a manufacturing method of fluid coupling in which thermal deformation is little and surplus molten metal stuck on the vane wheel is removed so as to be favorable for weight reduction of the vane wheel.
CONSTITUTION: A shell 11 and blades 13 constituting a vane wheel are assembled so as to obtain a temporary assembling body 1. The temporary assembling body 1 is soaked in a water solution containing ammonium chloride and zinc chloride so as to be pretreated. Next the temporary assembling body 1 is soaked in low melting point melted allay having main contents such as Sn, Zn, Pb for a prescribed time. Thereafter the temporary assembling body 1 is taken out from the melted metal. By contacting the temporary assembling body 1 with sand, surplus low melting point melted alloy stuck on the temporary assembling body 1 is removed.
