Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide 2 fluorescent panel producing method and an apparatus for a cathode-ray tube by which a fluorescent panel with high quality and uniform thickness is formed by screen printing on the inner face of a panel for a cathode-ray tube having recessed and curved faces, which makes no need of electric communication terminals for electrodeposition, involves less number of processes, lowers the manufacturing cost, and provides products with stable properties.
CONSTITUTION: A screen frame 74 having a boat-shapes structure and on the bottom of which a screen for screen printing is stretched is put in the inner face of a panel 14 on which a fluorescent panel is to be formed. Then, a squeegee 68 is moved while being pressed to the surface of the screen as to print the ink applied to the surface of the screen for fluorescent face formation on the inner face of the panel 14 through the screen. The plate thickness of the screen frame 74 is 0.5-2.0mm and the depth of the boat-shaped recessed part of the screen frame 74 is so set as to make the screen frame 74 protruding out of a skirt part 28 of the panel 14 in the case the screen frame 74 is set in the inner face of the panel 14.
