Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of simple freezed mold and a casting method using the freezed mold manufactured in such a method producing a cast product having beautiful casting surface without defect.
SOLUTION: Low temp. air cooled with a freezer 1 is sucked or pressurized by using a fan 14 with such differential pressure so as not to shift the moisture in molding sand 3 mixing the moisture of 1-12 wt.% and allowed to flow into the mold composed of the molding sand to freeze the mold. The air allowed to flow in the mold is cooled with a heat-exchanger in the freezer and again fed into the mold to circulate the cooled air in the system. Further, the work developing frosting is executed in a box-removing the moisture with the freezer. Furthermore, the freezed mold is stored in the freezing box cooled at <-0.3°C with the freezer. At this time, a lost foaming cover is coated on the opening hole part in the mold to prevent the frosting. By this method, the mold can efficiently be freezed and the wastefulness can be prevented, and the cast product having good casting surface can be obtd.
