Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the manufacture of the friction plate, the lining itself of which is bonded in a short time and yet without being heated, by a structure wherein bonding agent is inserted between the friction plate main body and the lining, both of which are fixed to each other with bonding agent by means of induction heating. CONSTITUTION:The lining 10, the friction plate main body 18, a damper 19 and a damper metal 20 are assembled together with bonding agent 21 inserted at their bonding surfaces and set in bonding fixtures 22-25. After being set in the bonding fixtures 22-25, induction coils 26 are arranged at the outer periphery of the friction plates 12 for induction heating. The bonding agent 21 is preferably sheet- shape bonding agent which is melted and reacted by heating. When the induction coils 26 are energized, only the metal part of the friction plate main body 18 is induction-heated and consequently the bonding agent 21 is softened, melted and bonded. Being non-metallic, the linings 10 do not induction-heated. In addition, the metal surface temperature can easily be controlled by the amount and frequency of electricity supplied to the exciting coils 26.
