Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain easily a gel responsive to an electrical stimulus rapidly by spreading one of a liquid containing an anionic polymer and a liquid containing a cationic polymer on the interface of the other liquid. CONSTITUTION:The aimed gel is obtained by forming a polyion complex between an anionic polymer (1) and a cationic polymer (2) by spreading one of the liquid containing an anionic polymer (1) and the liquid containing a cationic polymer (2) on the interface of the other liquid. An example of a method for spreading the above liquid is one wherein a vessel such as a vat or petri dish is filled with one liquid [e.g. the liquid (1)], then the other liquid [e.g. the liquid (2)] is spread on the surface or interface by pouring it along the wall of the vessel. As the anionic polymer (1) to be used, (meth)acrylic acid, styrenesulfonic acid, etc., can be mentioned. As the cationic polymer (2), N,N- dimethylaminoethyl (meth)acrylate, N,N-dimethylaminopropyl (meth)acrylamide, etc., can be mentioned.
