Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patter head having the optimum mass distribution and a manufacturing method suitable for mass production. SOLUTION: A patter head includes a first main body element 20 made by a first high density material, which forms at least a heel part 13, a toe part 14 and a large part of the surface of the sole part, and a second main body element 21 tightly connected to the first element, which is made by a low-density metal material and covers the residual part of the head including at least the central part of the ball hit surface 10 of the head. Further, the patter head is manufactured by forging a rough shaped work material made of a metal material to form a first element, disposing the first element in a mold, creating a free space between the surface of the first element and the wall surface of the mold, injecting or casting a second material in the free space to cast a second element in the state of being tightly connected to the first element, and taking out the club head after a second part is hardened in a designated part.
