Abstract:

PURPOSE: To manufacture a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet having a small iron loss by subjecting a silicon steel slab contg. specified percentages of C, Si, Mn, Cu, Se and S to hot rolling, cold rolling, decarburization annealing and finish annealing at a high temp.

CONSTITUTION: A silicon steel slab consisting of 0.02W0.12% C, 2.5W4.0% Si, 0.03W0.15% Mn, 0.04W0.19% Cu, ≥0.005% Se, 0.010W0.050% in total of Se and S and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities or further contg. 0.005W0.035% Sb is hot rolled and cold rolled twice or more while process annealing is carried out between the cold rolling stages. The resulting steel sheet is subjected to decarburization annealing, coating with a protective coating material for annealing, and finish annealing at a high temp.
