PURPOSE: To enable the voids to be eliminated from among abrasive grains by a method wherein thin strata of abrasion grains and binders are formed with grains of different diameters and a process for applying a pressure to the strata is repeated in manufacturing a grinder used in grinding of foods.
CONSTITUTION: Carborundum with binder grains adhering on the surface is spread thin within a die 3 and pressed to form a first stratiform molding 4 having no void therein. This process is repeated three times to superpose second, third and fourth stratiform moldings 5, 6 and 7, thus forming a pressed molding of the same size and shape as a grinder to be produced. Subsequently this pressed molding is sintered to make a sintered body, thereby producing a grinder having no void. The grinder thus produced has great rigidity and abrasion resistance and therefore permeation of meat juice into the grinder can be prevented in grinding of foods.
