PURPOSE: To obtain a guide rail with sufficient strength and improve productivity by guiding a raw material manufactured by hot rolling with a guiding tool, performing cold extrusion, detecting the bending of the guide rail, and extruding the guide rail with an adjusting tool.
CONSTITUTION: When a raw material 1 manufactured by hot rolling is mounted on a carry-in device 9, the raw material 1 is carried into a cold extruding device 10 it is pushed into an extruding die 5 while being guided by upper and lower guide rolls 6a and right and left guide rolls 6b, and the raw material 1 is molded into a guide rail 4. The bending of the guide rail 4 is corrected by upper and lower adjustment rolls 6a and right and left adjustment rolls 7b at the outlet side of the extruding die 5, and it is guided into a correcting device 11 to obtain high straightness. It is then guided into a cutting device 12 to be cut to about 5m. It is guided into an end face machining device 13, fitting holes 4a and end section notches 4g are provided by press machining, and a guide projection 4c and a guide groove (not shown in the figure) to be coupled with the guide projection 4c are provided by milling.
