PURPOSE: To intend to exchange heat between two kinds of gas, by housing an element in a casing, by dividing both ends of the element into two parts by purge spokes which are provided to the casing, and by rotating the casing together with two kinds of gas being passed through two passages provided in the element, respectively.
CONSTITUTION: A one-side corrugated body 1 is formed by adhering a flat sheet 1 to a corrugated sheet 2 on the ridge line of the corrugated sheet 2. The corrugated body 1 is rolled up around the periphery of a core 3, and is adhered to the core to form a cylindrical heat exchanger element. The element is cut into an element pieces 5 in the shape of a fan, and channels 7 are cut along the ridgeline in the radius direction of the element in order to insert a spoke into each channel. A channel is cut on the divided surface of an element piece, where a reinforcement rod 8, which is to be the material having a firm form-keeping property such as a steel, is buried and is adhered to fix the relative position of each corrugated body. A rod 9 is abutted against the outer edge of both ends of an element piece to bolt it up to a reinforcement rod 8, while the spokes 10 are screwed up into the edge of both ends of a core 3, and the element pieces 5 in the shape of a fan is inserted into a gap formed by the surface of a core 3 and by four pieces of spoke 10.
