Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten cleanness of the inner surface of a high pressure fuel injection pipe and almost completely remove a various kinds of fine foreign matter from the inner surface thereof to prevent the clogging of an injection nozzle by cleaning the inner peripheral surface of the pipe with a fine foreign matter dissolving solution after the final drawing process in a manufacturing process of a thick wall metal pipe having a small diameter.
SOLUTION: A high pressure fuel injection pipe having an outside diameter of about 4.4 to 20.0mm and a wall thickness of about 1.5 to 8.0mm is manufactured by performing drawing work and a heat treatment 4 to 5 times and the inner peripheral surface thereof is cleaned with a fine foreign matter dissolving solution after the final drawing process. As for the fine foreign matter dissolving solution it is desirable that phosphoric acid solution, or oxalic acid-hydrogen peroxide solution as acid type is used for iron series fine foreign matter and alkaline solution such as caustic soda is used for aluminum series fine foreign matter. It is desirable that the inner surface of the pipe is cleaned several times by using different kinds or the same kind of fine foreign matter dissolving solution.
