Abstract:

PURPOSE: To manufacture a low-cost material for high-quality R-Fe-B magnets relatively easily.

CONSTITUTION: This high characteristic magnet material is manufactured by the method, wherein a molten alloy mainly comprising 12-19 at% of R (R represents at least one kind of rare earth element including Y), 5-8.5 at% of B5 and 72.5-82.5at% of Fe is homogenized by heat-treatment at the temperature of 900°C-1150°C, next the particles produced by fine crushing the alloy are molded in a magnetic field to be processed at the temperature of 600-1000°C in hydrogen and then sintered within the temperature range of 1000°C-1150°C in vacuum of Ar inert gas atmosphere.
