Title:
MANUFACTURE OF HIGHLY HEAT-RESISTANT ALUMINIUM ALLOY WIRE FOR CONDUCTING ELECTRICITY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5964755
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce the titled alloy wire efficiently with shortened ageing treatment, by adding Si to an Al-Zr type alloy, subjecting it to solution treatment, subjecting the thus obtained wire material to a suitable cold working before it is subjected to ageing treatment, and heat-treating it.

CONSTITUTION: An alloy ingot containing 0.15W0.30wt% Zr, 0.10W0.25wt% Si, ≤0.25wt% Fe and the balance of Al and impurities is hot-rolled, if required, followed by cold working. Then it is subjected to solution heat treatment to obtain a wire material, and the wire material or a wire rod obtained by continuously casting and rolling the above ingot is subjected to the following treatment. The wire material or the wire rod is cold-worked with the reduction ratio being 30W80%, is subjected to ageing treatment at a temperature of 300W400°C for 10hr or more, and is cold-worked with the reduction ratio being 60% or over. Subsequently, it is heat-treated at 250W350°C for 1W5hr.
