Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow golf ball and a manufacturing method thereof, especially, a manufacturing method of a hollow golf ball with a better hitting touch which has sphericity at a hollow part while eliminating impaired repulsion performance with excellent endurance.
SOLUTION: This golf ball comprises a hollow center 2 having a hollow part 1, a hollow core 5 comprising one intermediate core layer 3 or more formed on the hollow center part 2 as required and a cover 4 formed on the hollow core. In this case, the operation of producing the hollow center 2 contains (i) a process of preparing a rubber composition for the hollow center, (ii) a process of forming a cup-shaped hemispherical body vulcanized on the side of an internal hollow part 1 and (iii) a process in which two cup-shaped hemispherical bodies are joined to vulcanize the whole 2 of the hollow center.
