PURPOSE: To manufacture a light-weight hollow insulating material at a low cost by compressively feeding the insulating material from a fume-shaped hollow section side and extruding the same to the column-shaped hollow section side.
CONSTITUTION: When an insulating material is compressively fed from a tunnel- like hollow section 2 side of a molding section 6 of an extrusion die 5, a macaroni-shaped hollow insulating material is extruded and molded. A hollow section of the hollow insulating material is molded by a column-shaped material 3, and the insulating material is pressure filling guided into a column-shaped hollow section 1 by the funnel-shaped inner peripheral surface of the column- shaped hollow section 2, while the insulating material shunted from a mounting component 4 supporting one side of the column-shaped material 3 is fixed by pressure again just after passing a component 4 to be shaped into a section donut. The hollow insulating material thus prepared is added and covered over the surface of molten hot water accommodated in a ladle to generate a large insulating effect of the air in the hollow section with a small quantity of the material for forming up a thin film.
