In a manufacturing method, a honeycomb structure of carbon organization in which heat-setting resin is preliminarily impregnated is heat decomposed to constitute a substrate 1, and the heat-setting resin is coated with a preliminarily impregnated carbon organization to constitute one face or respective faces 2 and 3, and the carbon orgnaization of preliminarily impregnated carbon organization 4 is interposed between the face and the substrate to assemble the substrate 1, and one face or a plurality of faces 2 and 3 and a bonded body thus formed are polymerized and compression solidified and thermally decomposed, and finally chemical permeation is carried out to densify the bonded body to reinforce the bonding. A structure of extremely high dimension stability is provided by the method.
