PURPOSE: To obtain a hose without deteriorating the mechanical strength thereof even when the thickness thereof is thinned, by a method wherein a fiber layer is formed on the peripheral surface of a coil spring and the fiber layer is impregnated with liquid hose forming material, thereafter, the liquid material is cured.

CONSTITUTION: A coil spring 1, made of a hard steel wire, is prepared and fibers, made of polyamide, are braided (or knitted) to form a fiber layer 3. Then, rubber paste of EPDM is impregnated into the fiber layer 3 and the paste is dried whereby the EPDM rubber material is born by the fiber layer 3. Thereafter, the coil spring with the fiber layer 3 is inserted into a vulcanizer to vulcanize EPDM whereby a hose may be completed.
