To obtain a product which has favorable dimensional-accuracy and in addi tion, has a dense and smooth edge face, by a method wherein a press-molded body is formed by being pressed between a top and a bottom molds, the whole periphery of the peripheral edge part including the final product pressing part of the pressing surface of one mold of which is formed into a tapered surface gradually approaching to the pressing surface of the other mold.
In a press-molding device, the pressing surfaces 51 and 61 of a top and a bottom molds 5 and 6 are formed into sizes, the whole peripheries of which protrude outside a final molding. The whole periphery of the peripheral edge part, which includes a final product pressing part 52, of the pressing surface 51 of the top mold 5 is formed into a tapered surface gradually approaching to the pressing surface 61 of the bottom mold 6. As a result, through this press-molding, a press-molded body 74, the central part of which has a uniform thickness and the portion ranging from the peripheral edge part of a final product portion to an ear part of which becomes gradually thinner, is obtained. By cutting the ear part of this press-molded body 74 by a water jet type cutting method, a green molded body is obtained. Finally, by curing and hardening this green molded body, a hydraulic inorganic molded body is obtained.
