PURPOSE: To obtain titled composition of outstanding mechanical properties, by melt blending, through specific processes, specific ethylene-α-olefin polymer rubber and propylene polymer.
CONSTITUTION: (A) an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer rubber consisting of (i) 30W 80wt% of ethylene, (ii) 20W70wt% of α-olefin, and (iii) 0W10wt% of non-conjugated diene with a Mooney viscosity (ML1+4, at 100°C) 15W120 and (B) polypropylene homopolymer and/or propylene-ethylene copolymer containing ≤20 wt% of ethylene are subjected to melt blending in such a manner that, as the first stage, a composition (C) with a weight ratio (A)/(B) ranging from 50/50 to 90/10 is prepared in advance followed by melt blending so as to be 10/90W60/40 in weight ratio (C)/(B), thus obtaining the objective resin composition.
