Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording sheet having high print density, a true circle of printing dot with no stain, excellent surface quality and an image of a high quality level equivalent to a color photograph, no ink stroke-through and no cockling at quality characteristics of a print image.
SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an ink jet recording sheet having an ink receptive layer containing a porous white pigment and a binder as main components on one or both surfaces of a support comprises the steps of coating the ink receptive layer containing the porous white pigment and the binder as main componets or an intermediate layer coating liquid by regulating an apparent viscosity (η) when printed at a deviation speed (γ) of 18,000/sec. of 70 to 200 mPa.S by a rod coater.
