Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the surface roughness, to make the thickness uniform, and to increase the rigidity of an interor finish material consisting of a sheet of foamed polyurethane impregnated with a synthetic resin which is reinforced with a fiber interlaced sheet.
CONSTITUTION: Expandable plastic beads 15A are mixed with a fiber interlaced sheet 14 which reinforces a foamed polyurethane sheet 12. The beads are expanded and fused with the sheet during hot pressing to form a rigid foamed layer 15. In this process, the surface roughness is reduced by the foamed layer 15 and the thickness of the sheet is made uniform.
