Abstract:
An improved process is disclosed for the preparation of organic isocyanates by the oxidative dehydrogenation of the corresponding formamides in which the process is operated in at least two adiabatic reaction stages in series where no more than 70% of the stoichiometric amount of oxygen is fed to the first stage.
