PURPOSE: To manufacture thick laminate and laminate, to which metallic foil is pasted, available for a supporting board for electric insulation, a printing wiring board for high voltage, etc. efficiently in the desired thickness by a method wherein a plurality of laminates continuously produced are pasted by adhesives.

CONSTITUTION: Laminates are manufactured in such a manner that a large number of sheet-like base materials are continuously carried, and impregnation into a hardening resin liquid, etc., the laminating of the impregnated base materials, the laminating of metallic foil, hardening, and cutting, etc. to practical dimensions as necessary are performed continuously and successively. A laminate, particularly, a thick laminate, is produced by pasting a plurality of the laminates by adhesives. Linter paper, craft paper, glass cloth, etc. are used as the sheet-like basic materials and unsaturated polyester resin, epoxy resin, etc. as the hardening resin liquid. The impregnated basic materials and the metallic foil are laminated at the both sides of the impregnated basic materials, but one side or both are used for a cover, and the metallic foil for the cover is exfoliated after hardening.
