PURPOSE: To facilitate the deaeration in the deaeration and pressing step in the manufacture of a laminated glass, by attaching an air-permeable material only to the circumferential parts of two glass plates, sealing the glass plates, and attaching a deaeration port to a part of the sealing material.
CONSTITUTION: An interlayer 2 is interposed between a pair of glass plates 1, and an air-permeable material 3 is attached only to the circumferential part of the glass plates 1. The plates are sealed with a sealing material 4, and a deaeration port 5 is attached to a part of the sealing material. The air-permeable material 3 is e.g. nonwoven fabric, lawn, metallic mesh, etc. The deaeration can be carried out easily by pressing the glass plates under heating.
