Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of abnormal appearance by longitudinally aligning a LAP tape (a laminated tape of an aluminum tape and synthetic resin) on a cable core, heating and depositing the overlapped section of end edges, and forcibly cooling the LAP tape before it is brought into contact with a support roller or the jig of an extruding machine. CONSTITUTION:A LAP tape 2 is longitudinally aligned on a cable core 1, with synthetic resin arranged on the outside, and circularly molded, the overlapped section of end faces is heated and deposited by hot air spraying 11. The surface of the LAP tape layer 2 is forcibly cooled by cold air spraying 12 or the like before the LAP tape layer 2 is brought into contact with a support roller 13, and the molten synthetic resin is again solidified. It is then fed through an extruding machine 14, an external cover layer 3 such as polyethylene is extrusion-molded on it. At this time, the synthetic resin of the LAP tape layer 2 is again melted by the extrusion temperature and firmly and integrally deposited on the external cover layer 3. A LAP sheath cable with a smooth surface is thereby obtained.
