PURPOSE: To obtain a lattice body having an high accuracy effectively, by applying uneveness work and stripe groove work onto the band-shaped sheet made of lead or lead alloy, punching out said band-shaped sheet, and performing expanding work.
CONSTITUTION: On the surface of the band-shaped sheet 5 made of lead or lead alloy, uneveness work or stripe groove work is applied through knurling method, roll brushing method, or sand balsting method 9, then the band-shaped sheet is gripped by the clamp part 2 of a fixed length feeding apparatus 1 and introduced into an expanding working machine 3 and punched out. After expanding work, a long lattice body 6' is formed. The lattice body 6' is filled with active paste substance, and cut to a prescribed length to form a plate. The maximum depth of the uneveness and stripe groove is about 0.3mm. Thus, due to the application of uneveness work and stripe groove work, the frictional resistance between the clamp part and the surface of the band-shaped sheet is increased, and slip can be prevented, and the accuracy of feeding length can be improved, then a lattice body having a high accuracy can be formed effectively.
