MANUFACTURE OF LEADING-IN WIRE FOR ELECTRON TUBE

Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent any contact between leading-in wires for an electron tube which might be caused during the formation of oxidized films, by dividing the oxidation treatment of the leading-in wires into the first and the second steps, and providing the stage of stirring between the above two treatment steps.

CONSTITUTION: Numbers of pinlike alloy wires (each consisting of Fe, 42% of Ni and 6% or Cr) which have a diameter of 1mm and a length of around 25mm and are subjected to polishing and defatting washing, are put in an oxidation treatment boat, and are subjected to high-temperature treatment carried out at 1,100°C in a wet atmosphere of hydrogen for 10min to make the pinlike alloy wires to be coated with oxidized films. After the above oxidation treatment is stopped, the alloy wires contained in the boat are thoroughly stirred before they are subjected to the second high-temperature treatment, which is carried out at 1,100°C in a wet atmosphere of hydrogen for 140min, to make the pinlike alloy wires to be coated with other oxidized films. Thus prepared alloy wires coated with double oxidized films are used as leading-in wires for an electron tube. By the means mentioned above, the alloy wires don't touch any other alloy wire during the development of the oxidized films. Consequently, leading-in wires without any damage to their films can be obtained.
