PURPOSE: To obtain light shielding effect in all upward and downward, and right and left directions by laminating adhesives alternately with optical fibers, and cutting end surfaces of the optical fibers at a specific angle after the adhesive is cured.
CONSTITUTION: The optical fibers formed in sheets are laminated by using a jig for fixing both sides of them alternately with the adhesives 5. The adhesives are formed by mixing active carbon with, for example, epoxy adhesives and blackening the mixture. The laminate is sliced at the desired angle after the adhesive is cured, and cut surfaces are subjected to optical surface treatment by an optical polishing machine. Light which has an angle larger than the aperture angle of the fibers 4 is shielded completely and never reaches the eye.
