Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing light-weight soil of new concept and a device thereof suitable for conducting the method, capable of expecting such various effects as an ordinary and low-priced feed pump other than a special pump like a squeeze pump can be used and full use of its capabilities can be made.
SOLUTION: Light-weight soil is manufactured, at a low-pressure part 7 near the end of a pipeline 4 led from a pump 2 attached on a slurry manufacturing plant 1 to the working site 3 where the light-weight soil is used, by mixing air bubbles into slurry (mainly cement milk) force-fed by the pump 2. The low pressure part includes the one generated by a siphon in addition to the one caused by losses of water or the like due to pipeline friction or the like. The manufacturing device is constituted of a foam maker 14, a bubble feeding pipe 15, a slurry and bubble mixing part 16, and a static mixer 17. It is desirable to dispose this device coaxially at the axial part of the low-pressure part 7 at which the diameter of the end part of the bubble feeding pipe 15 is enlarged.
