PURPOSE: To provide a method for manufacturing a load detector at high yield by allowing uniform formation of a plurality of thin films constituting a strain gauge.

CONSTITUTION: Each strain detecting part 40 is formed independently and inner and outer rigid bodies 10, 20 are also formed independently. When a thin film is formed at a predetermined part of each strain detecting part 40, film is formed while arranging the strain detecting parts 40 closely each other in a thin film forming chamber. Consequently, each film is formed uniformly. Each strain detecting part 40 formed with a thin film is then welded at positions shown by dashed lines between the inner and outer rigid bodies 10, 20 thus constituting a load detector.
