To provide a method of manufacturing a member for a molten metal bath having a film excellent in corrosion resistance to molten metal, where a hot-melt-spray-coating excellent in corrosion resistance and peeling resistance can be formed and the long-term continuous operation of a plating line is made possible.
A solution as a sealing solution is prepared by mixing an inorganic binder with an inorganic colloidal compound solution containing 5-50 wt.% inorganic colloid of 5-50 nm particle size so that the weight ratio between the inorganic colloid in the inorganic colloidal compound solution and the inorganic binder becomes 1.0 to (0.3-3.0). This solution is applied to or sprayed on a film composed of a cermet hot-melt-spray-coating formed on the outermost surface of a base material or a film forming oxide ceramics on the outermost surface of the base material (including a film forming oxide ceramics on the cermet hot-melt-spray-coating formed on the surface of the base material) in the base that the film becomes an uppermost thermally sprayed layer of a product to impregnate the film with the solution and thereafter to burn it.
