PURPOSE: To manufacture the carrier with high efficiency and to obtain the carrier whose durability is excellent by radiating intermittently an electron beam from the outside of a core body or an outer cylinder in which the core body is contained, and bringing the inside of the core body or the core body and the outer cylinder integrally to discontinuous welding.
CONSTITUTION: A core body 1 is constituted by superposing a wave foil 2 and a flat foil 3, and winding it round spirally. The core body 1 irradiated with an electron beam is fused by high density energy, a cut part 8 is formed, and also, a generated weld metal is coagulated to a contact part of the wave foil 2 and the flat foil 3, it is solidified 9 and both the foils are joined firmly. An outer cylinder 4 and the core body 1 are also joined in the same way, but as for the fusion part of the outer cylinder 4, its plate thickness is thick, and a welded metal generated once by the electron beam is solidified again, and closes the cut part.
