PURPOSE: To obtain a release film not generating the adhesion of a resin at the time of the continuous molding of an optical element and excellent in releasability, cohesion to a mold and durability.

CONSTITUTION: A mixture consisting of at least one of a monomer, an oligomer or a polymer having a (meth)acryloyl group and 3-30wt.% of a derivative having a silanol group is applied to the molding surface of a metal mold for molding plastic and the coated layer is subsequently polymerized by radiation to generate crosslinking reaction to form a release film.
