PURPOSE: To shorten the working time by setting a plurality of cavity parts so as to be arranged on a common metal plate, performing a cluster NC machining such as milling, and cutting individual metal mold parts by wire cutting.
CONSTITUTION: An NC data of set machining for machining processes (c) and (d) is formed on the basis of a preliminarily formed metal mold machining drawing (a). Namely, a plurality of metal mold cavity parts are rationally arranged on one metal plate (b). The arrangement of the metal mold parts onto the metal plate is determined on the basis of this, and NC milling is executed as the set machining (c). Thereafter, a plurality of prescribed metal mold parts are cut by wire cutting (d). The cut metal parts are hardened, and ground, as occasion demands, into a final form, and surface polishing and die matching are carried out to complete the metal mold parts.
