PURPOSE: To manufacture a precise metallic vessel such as pitcher, etc. having a circular wall perpendicular to its bottom wall in a short time with minimum labor, by forming the vessel from a metallic slab as a starting material by means of an impact processing method.

CONSTITUTION: A metallic vessel is formed from a discoidal metallic slab as a starting material by means of an impact processing method by lifting up a circular wall 2 mechnically and automatically so that it is perpendicular to a bottom wall 1 and is a cylinder having nearly uniform wall thickness. Because this processing can be finished in a very short time, a drawing die usually using in a normal press operation is not required and there is not need of annealing process in the midst of press operation too. The precision of cylindrical vessels such as pitcher, etc. manufactured by means of above-mentioned process is excellent.
