Abstract:
PURPOSE: To readily obtain titled resin capable of giving highly heat-resistant crosslinked product, by grafting an ethylenic unsaturated silane compund to a propylene resin of specific melt flow index.
CONSTITUTION: The objective resin can be obtained by carrying out a grafting on heating, of an ethylenic unsaturated silane compound of formula RSiR'nY3-n (R is ethylenic unsatruated hydrocarbon, or hydrocarbonoxy; R' is aliphatic satruated hydrocarbon; Y is a ydrolyzable organic group; n is 0W2; e.g. vinyl trimethoxysilane), to a propylene resin with a melt flow index ≤0.8g/10min., in the presence of a radical generator capable of producing free-radical site(s) in said resin (e.g., benzoyl peroxide).
